A party to a lawsuit must file an Appeal within 30 days of the Court renders a Final Judgment.
The deadline is critical and cannot be missed. Through an Appeal a panel of 3 Judges will review the Court proceedings to determine whether the ruling of the Trial Judge was appropriate.
Trial Judge can err by misapplying facts or misapplying the law. We always want to win at the trial level and statistics show that most Appeals are denied. However, Judges and Courts make mistakes and the appellate process is a critical part of the Court system. Trial Judges are not infallible and the Appellate Courts are there to correct trial Court errors.
As with all legal matters your attorney must prepare the legal argument in a concise and understandable manner so that the Appellate Judges will recognize the error of the trial Court.
